HOEKSTRA (BROUWER)
Marcia Hoekstra, age 76, went to be with her Lord, Friday, July 24, 2015, after a short fight with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Hoekstra; parents, Irvin and Anna Brouwer; parents-in-law, Albert and Anna Hoekstra; sister-in-law, Esther Brouwer; and brother-in-law, Harold DeYoung.

Marcia is survived by her children, Mary (William) De Vree, Douglas (Susan) Hoekstra, Linda (Craig) Willemstein, David (Dawn) Hoekstra, and Donald (Sandra) Hoekstra; grandchildren, Melissa (Scot) Van Dam, Sarah (Chris) Rillema, Amber (David) Neale, Lee (Cadence) De Vree, Jennifer (Jesse) Perry, Jay Hoekstra,Joshua (Alison) Hoekstra, Denielle (Joshua) Hoffman, Branden Willemstein, Derek Willemstein, Jason Hoekstra, Ashley (Joshua) Baker, Collin Hoekstra, Christopher Hoekstra; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Alysha Van Dam, Elias and Gwendylan Neale, Brianna, Dylan, Kameron and Isaak Perry, Colton Hoekstra, Olivia Baker; her brother, Floyd (Josey) Brouwer; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae DeYoung, Jean (Junior) Heyboer, Mildred (Andrew) Hoekstra; brother-in-law, Gerald (Nancy) Hoekstra. Marcia loved to spend time traveling, playing games and getting together with family and friends.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 26th from 12 to 2 PM and 5 to 8 PM at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. The funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 27th at Byron Center Protestant Reformed Church, 1945 84th St. SW. Contributions in her memory may be made to Faith Hospice or Byron Center Protestant Reformed Church – Special Education Fund.
