DOUGHERTY – Cameron "Ron" Michael Dougherty, age 61, of Grandville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Sherman and his brother, Patrick Francis Dougherty, Jr. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce (Hayward) Dougherty; children, Angela (Michael) Way, Michael (April), Matthew (Kera), Christine, Valorie, Daniel, and Emily; grandchildren, Livia and Abigail Way, Ashley, Alyssa, Conlan, Amelia, Sean, Vance, Austin, Ethan, Leah, and Dylan Dougherty; father, Patrick Francis Dougherty, Sr.; siblings, Mary Therese Dougherty, Dennis (Olga), Catherine (Frank) Murray, Kevin, and Brian; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Ron was passionate about his Irish heritage and the O'Dochartaigh Clann Association. The funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at the Grandville Baptist Church, 4325 – 40th SW, Grandville with Pastor David Crompton officiating.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Sunday from 6-9 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville (West Building) and one hour prior to the service at the church. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com.
