MEKKES - Cornelius "Casey" Mekkes, born December 25, 1919, age 95, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, August 13, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore K. and Ranskie Mekkes; six siblings Anna Top, John Mekkes, Nicholas Mekkes, Nicholas Mekkes, Jeanette St. Charles, Kathryn Headley. He will be remembered by his wife of 69 years, Katherine "Kay" Mekkes; children Mary Beth (Tom) Bartlett; Tim (Judy) Mekkes, Martha (Bruce) O'Connor, Laura (Dan) Stachowiak; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren/ great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Casey was a man who dearly loved his Lord and his family (including his church family).

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015, with visitation one hour prior starting at 10 a.m. at First Reformed Church of Grandville – 3060 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville, MI. Pastor Bud Pratt will be officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
