Joe Visser, age 74, went to be with his Lord, Monday, October 22, 2012. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janice Visser; daughters Barbara (Gary) Snider, Kathy (Al) Lindner; grandchildren Alex (Kim) Snider, Rob Snider, Joel Lindner, Jewel Lindner, Joy Lindner, Selena (Eric) DeLong, Al Lindner Jr. ; three great-grandchildren; siblings Minard (Alice) Visser, Tob (Annette) Visser, George (Harriet) Visser, Marie Doornbos, Grace Klamer, Connie (Jack) Egberts, Fran Visser, Jim Yonkman; brother and sister-in-law Norm (Marj) Baarman; many nieces and nephews. Joe was a painter for over fifty years and a member of AA for thirty-seven years.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5- 8pm on Thursday, October 25, 2012; and Friday October 26th from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm at Cook Funeral Home in Jenison, 1889 Baldwin. Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 27th at Baldwin Street CRC – 2101 Baldwin, Jenison with Pastor Jerry VanGroningen officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery. In honor of Joe, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Holland Hospice. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookfamilycares.com.
