Leon Landis, age 87 peacefully went to be with his Lord surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Marion Landis; children Mary Lee (Johnny) Van Tubergen, Amy (Robert) Bootsma, David (Maggie) Landis, Kenneth (Linda) Landis; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings Viola (Ralph) Smith, Betty Storms; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Anna Landis and 11 siblings.

Leon loved his country and was proud to be a Marine World War II veteran. In 1963 he founded Landis, Inc, and was a member of Zion Reformed Church. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time at the cottage where they attended South Hinton Bible Church in Lakeview, MI.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 - 9pm, Friday, March 29, 2013 at Cook Funeral Home (West) 4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville. Funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, March 30th at Zion Reformed Church- 4457 36th Street SW, Grandville with Pastor Rick VanderWall officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com.
