Marvin J. Besteman, age 77, went to be with his Lord Saturday, January 21, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Marjorie Bestemen; and son William John Besteman.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-four years, Ruth Besteman; children Julie (Joe) Wendth, Amy Yasick, Mark (Susan) Besteman; grandchildren Andrew (Allison) Wendth, Lauren Wendth, Jason Yasick, Sara Yasick; brothers Ron (MaryLou) Besteman, Kenneth (MaryLou) Besteman; and many nieces and nephews. This isn’t the first time Marv has been in Heaven. His book “My Journey to Heaven,? comes out September 2012.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm, Tuesday January 24th at Cook Funeral Home at 2067 84th Street SW, Byron Center. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Friendship Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Cal Compagner officiating. In honor of Marvin, contributions may be made to Wedgewood Acres.
